The laureate and winner of numerous prizes at the 11th H. Wieniawski International Violin Competition in Poznań (1996). A violinist, soloist, chamber musician and tutor. He learned under eminent tutors, among others: Iwona Wojciechowska, Zakhar Bron, Aleksander Kramarov, Marina Jaszwili. He graduated with distinction from the Academy of Music in Łódź and Music Conservatory in Enschede. He is a laureate of numerous national and international violin and chamber competitions. The most important moment in his career was when he received the prize at the European Radio Union Competition in Ljubljana and a few special awards at the 11th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition.

Owing to this success he has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in the whole Europe promoting Polish music. For his rich artistic activity he was honoured with the Award of Polish Academy of Sciences, the Silver Cross of Merit and the award of the President of the City of Łódź. In 1999 he participated in a great worldwide tourneé of Krystian Zimerman as one of the concertmasters of the Polish Festival Orchestra. In 2005-2015 he was a concertmaster of the Grand Theatre Orchestra – National Opera in Warsaw. He is the creator and artistic director of String Orchestra PRIMUZ, with which he plays concerts in various festivals and concerts in Poland and abroad. Łukasz Błaszczyk runs intensive activity as a jury member of national and international competitions and as a tutor of numerous violin courses and workshops.

Currently he is a professor at the Academy of Music in Łódź, where he runs the Chair of String Instruments. His students and graduates have been frequently awarded at national and international competitions, both violin and chamber ones.
